ACCADUEO: water in the limelight

International exhibition of technologies for the treatment and distribution of drinking water and wastewater treatment

The 10th edition of ACCADUEO, the biennial exhibition devoted to the water system – from technologies for the treatment and distribution of drinking water to wastewater treatment – concluded with highly positive numbers and confirmed its leadership for the industry.
There were 271 exhibiting companies and 6,775 highly specialised professional visitors at the event, organised by BolognaFiere at the Ferrara Exhibition Centre.
Very satisfied exhibitors made countless business contacts and participated in high-quality discussions in 48 conferences and seminars with over 300 speakers selected from national and international water industry experts.
The theme of ACCADUEO's 2010 edition was internationalism, manifested by prestigious exhibitors, foreign delegations, and speakers that ensured fine products, new business opportunities, and high-quality discussions that cannot be found anywhere else.
ACCADUEO highlighted the strong synergy found among all members of the industry: Confservizi, Federutility, Universities, entrepreneurial system, testifying to the event's commercial, cultural, scientific, and economic importance as a promoter of dialogue among leaders and decision-makers.
While institutional conferences pointed out the need to regulate water services and to create a strong and efficient authority, international conferences concentrated on innovative water management (efficiency, new technologies, international case studies, etc.).
ACCADUEO treated the subject of "water resources" from the scientific, social, and economic viewpoint: critical aspects due to water's importance for our planet's future.
Three days of conferences evidenced a request – and need – for greater interaction among the civil, agricultural, and industrial sectors, with the aim of developing transverse methods for the rational and effective use of water resources.
Subjects linked to the industry's economic value were of great interest, especially with regard to rates and the need to make investments within a well-defined framework.
Research and innovation were covered in numerous technical-scientific conferences, making ACCADUEO the reference point for knowing and testing
important advances presented by leading makers of components and equipment for the water sector.

ITALIAN COMPANIES ON FOREIGN MARKETS

Internationalism also regarded the exhibition's commitment to support Italian companies and their efforts to increase their presence – and business – in countries that are building large waterworks.
To achieve this goal, ACCADUEO – in cooperation with the Ministry for Economic Development, the National Institute for Foreign Trade, and the Emilia Romagna Region, organised visits by foreign delegations (governmental and commercial) from Brazil, Russia, China, Bulgaria, Iraq, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Ukraine. Numerous meetings were scheduled, to the great satisfaction of companies and delegates.

INTEGRATION AMONG SECTORS

The water system's increasing integration with the gas market and with innovation was covered in the 2nd edition of CH4 and in this year's new event: H2O INDUSTRY.
H20 INDUSTRY presented in-depth looks at new technologies, regulations, management techniques, and methods to save water and energy for improving the economic and environmental balance sheet of the industrial sector and of production in general.
Specifically, H20 INDUSTRY highlighted emerging technologies that combine the requirements for water management, dictated by the production process and by regulations, with the possibility of improving the overall energy balance sheet in order to generate an economic return.

INNOVATION IN THE FOREGROUND

The economic, social, and environmental value of water is generating increased attention to its management, distribution, and recycling. These aspects demand the introduction of innovative technologies for the entire chain.
ACCADUEO 2010 noted great attention by research institutes and businesses in this area. As a result, the exhibition offered a GUIDE TO NEW PRODUCTS, presenting over a hundred new products, examples of improved performance, and new inventions/basic innovations.

ACCADUEO: International exhibition of technologies for treatment and distribution of drinking water and wastewater treatment.

ACCADUEO is an international event that cant be missed, not only because of the topics to be discussed water is now mankinds most precious resource, and its related technologies have assumed unprecedented importance but also due to the economic and industrial importance of the companies present.

Edition after edition, ACCADUEO is becoming an increasingly significant way for exhibitors to meet public and private companies and discuss new aspects of the market. All of the most prestigious Italian companies take part in the fair, alongside the most important names on the European and international scene.

This is proved by the significant increase in visitors and exhibitors to the last edition. The fair also offers a rich calendar of technical meetings and seminars with experts, and is therefore a highly qualified event at which to compare and exchange views and to receive the latest information specifically targeted to industry professionals.

To emphasise ACCADUEOs international outlook, the organisers are scheduling visits by foreign commercial delegations to promote contact between exhibitors and representatives of foreign governments as well as with important business groups, especially those operating in East European countries and in the Mediterranean basin.

Wasser Berlin, International Forum for Water Industry

For the first time, in 2009, G2 misuratori exhibited at Wasser Berlin, International Forum for Water Industry, held at the fair exhibition centre in Berlin, from 30th March to 3rd April 2009; parallel to the exhibition, the world well renowned International Exhibitor Forum is held at the International Convention Center of Berlin (ICC). Since 1963, Wasser Berlin has become established as a main event, every 3 years, for the water and wastewater industry, and an important meeting place for more than 5000 visitors, mainly international water management experts: a further positive asset is its location, being Berlin at the heart of Europe, ideal launching platform for Eastern Europe new markets.

The company G2 misuratori manufactures since 1997 a wide range of water meters, such as: single jet, multi jet, meters preset for remote reading, pulsed output meters, Woltmann helical vane meters, electromagnetic meters, irrigation meters.

Its primary objective is the customer's satisfaction through the pursuit of quality in the design, in its exclusively made in Italy manufacturing and finally in the products; to this date the company achieved many important results:

water meter MID approvals (module B+D), obtained during 2009, and issued by the Notified Body in compliance with the MID EEC Directive n° 22/2004/CEE, converted in Italy into Law n° 22 dated 2nd February, 2007;

certification of its Quality System in accordance with ISO 9001/2008, issued by he certifying authority DNV-Det Norske Veritas Italia- for the design and manufacturing of water meters;

water meters' EEC approvals classes B and C in compliance with the EEC Directive n° 75/33 converted in Italy into Law n° 854 of August 23rd, 1982;

the approvals of all testing equipments (testing benches for pressure calibration, and wearing enduring test) for single,multi jet and Woltmann meters, given by the Ministry of Industry, allows the concerned Metric Inspectors to mark with EEC official seal water meters, following the EEC Directive n° 75/33.
Approved meters will have EEC seal until maximum 31.10.2016, i.e. the expiry date of all the approvals according to EEC Directive n° 75/33;

the compliance to Italian Law n° 174 dated 06th Aprile, 2004, covering components in contact with water suitability with human consumption and health regulations.

Production (moulding of plastic and brass machining, assembly and hydraulic tests) is entirely carried out in EEC countries, using modern assembly and control equipment to ensure the highest standards of quality.
